Well, here we are, 2015. Now, for a review of some movies!
Blackhat
Overall.... a somewhat okay film. The plot was pretty well written as it ties to the state of cyber security and hackers causing potentially deadly chaos. The scenes of data flowing through computer chips was interesting, and it makes one think about how incredibly complex a computer system is. It's a miracle that just metal and electric pulses can make all this possible in this journal and all other things. The method of the hackers targeting a part of a system and working it to make it break catastrophically hit home with another real computer virus that is out there: stux.net. But that was the only part of the plot that I liked. I wasn't to impressed with the characters, or the ending. At the end, Chris Hemsworth's character just takes the money, doesn't go back to jail, kills the hacker(though the prick had it coming) and lives a new life on the run with his friends sister. Kinda extreme for a computer hacking genius to just kill a couple guys. Seems a little forced and out of character. Maybe this was written in to make the end more exciting. It could have ended differently, but then I'm not the writer. Over all I give it a score of 4/10, but you decide in the end if it's any good.
Project Almanac
Pretty good for another found-footage film. I liked the effects and some moment were pretty funny too. This is also an interesting play on older versions of time travel. It's like if you took Bill and Ted from Bill and Ted's Awesome Adventure(which makes an appearance in the movie), put them in this time, and gave them some actual brains, and the instructions on building a time machine. The film starts out with the typical things a guy would do if he had a time machine to improve the way of life for them, then it becomes something new. One thing I'd never seen before and I don't know if any other film or book has ever used this interesting phenomena: the paradox. The paradox means that you can't see yourself from another reality or timeline as it would cause both versions of yourself to instantly vanish from both of the worlds. Or it could end the entire universe as well. But that doesn't happen in the film. Then begins what always follows time travel, unforeseen consequences. And these events are much more complex in terms of the cause and effect that are indirectly caused by the characters. But some of them seem a little stretched to cause such problems. Toward the end Johnny Weston's character reached the conclusion that the only way to right everything is to make it so the time machine is never built, thus making the whole film never happen at all. But the end.... that leaves me with lots of questions! If the whole thing doesn't happen, wouldn't the camera used to film the events not exist either? And the ending also makes one wonder what will happen, leaving us to figure out what it could mean. Overall for great effects, great plot, and great characters, I give Project Almanac a 9.8/10. Point 2 points off for not respecting all the rules of time travel. In the end, my personal feelings of time travel were confirmed in this movie. "It's a good idea but the past isn't worth changing, and the future isn't worth knowing."
Well, that took a lot of writing to get done. We'll see what this year has in store for films.

A Small Project (Does anyone read my journals?)
Not sure if ANYONE will even read this dang journal, but I thought I'd share a non-TTTE/non-furry project that's a WIP still. Consider it an inspiration of my latest discovery of Trevor Robert's world building project got my inspired. I'll leave you to find his work on Tumblr, while I also promote my own little series. Give his project more love than mine, he's better than me. But anyways, you can find my project here: VRT-EXpress Earth 512 HQ (tumblr.com)
'Readjusting' Comic Getting An Upgrade
Bet you all thought that this project was forgotten! Well, it's not. It's just been on an extended hiatus that's WAY too over due. But due to the summer, lots of model and Shapeways Projects, I've not had a lot of time to work on my art. Especially my most liked comic: Readjusting, the story of Amber Lily, normal teenage girl turned into an anthropomorphic collie by a jealous ex, only to find comfort in someone who sees her as beautiful in her new furry look and the trials that await her. Well, besides slacking while working on the 11th page cause my life is a mess of too many hobbies, laziness, lack of a paying job cause I'm too lazy/scared/clueless to find one, and cause of COVID was/is still a literal bitch, I decided something that could maybe inspire me to work on this could be a clean up of the previous 10 pages. I mean, it is mostly just tracing over the old line art that is kinda jaggedy and really not the best with character scale and appearances kinda being trash. Some
28 years old..... damn I feel OLD!
Yup, another year gone. It's..... been a long year. I've healed from the mess of December 2019..... it doesn't hurt so much now, but that's something you never really move on. But I'm gonna make today a good one all the same. The year since pandemic really took off has been a pain, but there have been good things too. The bad times won't last forever. It'll fade away. Hope everyone is having a good day today, staying safe and all.
Merry Christmas
This year has been a real mess, some of us have lost many good things in our lives, experienced impossible odds... some of us are still going through these challenges even as the end of the year moves closer. While I myself don't feel the level of joy as I have in previous years, I want you all to have the merriest of Christmases and happiest of holidays. Whether you are with your loved ones or away from them, I want you to let those in your life know how much you love them. You may fight, you may not get along well, but this is a time of year we should let go of the bad times, and for a moment say "we're all just people today, there is no division between us for this one day." While true togetherness and the elimination of strain between us is something we all still have to work on, we can make a start with this one day at least. 2020 has been a trying year, and that trying time won't fully go away when the calendar flips from December to January. But let's all hope and add a
